30 Muscle Ups for time. New PR

8:25

My time is not the PR. I got 13 consecutive Muscle Ups on my first set. This lead to a little break until I could get my arms back in order. Aiming for 15 by the end of the year.

  1. Your time on MU is impressive. I can not seem to get just one. I can do the ring dips/pull-ups just fine and spent the whole day trying to get one.

Any tips? I am a little bummed about it. Take care,

  2. Hey Pat,

I would recommend getting the feel for the transition by doing jumping MU's. That is really the hardest part. You are strong enough just need to feel where your hands and arms should be during the transition.

Place your thumbs against your body where your chest meets your shoulders Hands should be in a fist like you are holding the rings. Then in a downward sweeping "J" motion draw your hands down until your thumbs touch your nipples. At this point you are at the hardest part. The Transition. Use your legs to kip at the same time lean forward. It will take some getting used to but once you feel it you will never forget.

Wow that was a shitty explaination.

    Will video it for youtube.
